Seamless Moving from Seattle with U-Pack

True or false: It always rains Seattle. … If you guessed “true,” you may be surprised to learn that’s false! Other major metropolitan areas like Boston, New York City, Philadelphia, Atlanta and Miami actually get more annual rainfall than the Emerald City.

Another false assumption is that moving long-distance from Seattle has to be a struggle. When you choose U-Pack®, it’s simple! You not only save by doing your own loading and unloading, but you also retain the services of a professional driver. Travel to your new home separately, at your own pace, while we take care of the rest. And with our nationwide network, we can deliver your belongings from Washington to practically anywhere in the U.S. or Canada within a week.

8 Essential Stops in Seattle

Here are some favorite activities to enjoy before saying goodbye, or for when you bring friends or family on your next visit (in addition to Starbucks, of course)!

Pike Place Market

This sprawling setup is the oldest (1907) continually operating farmer’s market in the U.S. Watch fishmongers throw and catch customers’ orders around the market, or maybe even participate in this fun tradition.

Space Needle

Constructed in just 400 days for the 1962 World’s Fair, the needle stands 605 feet tall and its foundation extends 30 feet underground. It can withstand 200-mph winds and a 9.1 magnitude earthquake.

Discovery Park

Enjoy hiking trails and beaches in the city’s largest green space. Follow the North Beach Trail to the West Point Lighthouse, or the South Beach Trail for incredible views of Mount Rainer and the city skyline.

Kerry Park

This small park is a favorite with photographers because of its skyline views. The best viewing happens at sunset, when the city lights up and a glittering Space Needle tops the horizon.

Museum of Flight

Learn about Seattle’s role in aviation history among one of the largest air and space collections in the U.S. Don’t miss the Red Barn, Boeing’s original airplane factory, and the vintage aircraft on display in the Great Gallery.

Seattle Underground

Tour the network of underground passageways and basements in Pioneer Square, which used to be at ground level before the Great Seattle Fire of 1889. The streets were regraded and elevated when the city was rebuilt, so Seattle now sits about 22 feet higher than it originally did.

Museum of Pop Culture

Learn all about Nirvana and Pearl Jam, play instruments and try your hand at mixing in the Sound Lab. You can also check out artifacts from literature, film and television in the Science Fiction and Fantasy Hall of Fame exhibit.

Aurora Bridge Troll

A team of artists created this 18-foot-tall concrete sculpture in the Fremont community as part of a competition to revamp the area under the Aurora Bridge.
