No matter what time of year you’re moving, there’s something fun to do here! Take some time away from the packing to relax and de-stress.

Spring

Visit Big Falls County Park. This river-edge park sits along the Jump River, where water flows over granite rocks into a beautiful fall. After Spring rains, the falls really get flowing. It’s the perfect time to go hiking, play horseshoes or have a picnic on a nice day.

Summer

Cheer on the Eau Claire Express at Carson Park. Not only is the game exciting, but the ballpark is historic. Carson Park originally opened over 100 years ago in 1915, and it’s transformed throughout the years. It’s been home to the Eau Claire Bears and Braves, which includes legendary Hank Aaron.  Who knows what future superstar will be at the game when you go!

Fall

Pick apples at one of the area orchards. The Chippewa Valley is known for an abundant harvest, and you can pick varieties from Macintosh to Honey Crisp. They make a great snack, but you can also turn apples into apple butter to enjoy after your move.

Winter

Play in the snow. Whether you go ice fishing on the lake, snowshoe down a trail or play a game of kubb, take advantage of the powder. Depending on where you’re moving, it may be much more rare than it is here in Eau Claire.
