How many peach trees will you spot in Atlanta?

If you enjoyed the trees of Maryland, you’ll feel right at home with the foliage in Atlanta. But you won’t find many peach trees in the Peach State (unless you count one of the 70+ roads, streets, avenues, etc., with variations of “peach tree” in their names). Atlanta is sometimes called “The City in a Forest” due to its surrounding pine tree forests. Other trees common to the area include Maple, River Birch, Hickory, Flowering Dogwood and Magnolia. And with Atlanta’s many parks and reserves, you’ll have ample space to enjoy nature.

A growing capital city

Atlanta has been among the nation’s fastest-growing areas for years. With low unemployment rates and higher-than-average salaries, Georgia’s capital city is a big draw for newcomers. Many declining neighborhoods have been revitalized recently to create attractive businesses and housing for singles and young families. Hot job markets include Fortune 500 companies, entertainment, health care and higher education.
