Puerto Rico Moving Companies
Moving to or from Puerto Rico?
Crossing the Atlantic Ocean and the Caribbean Sea makes moving in or out of Puerto Rico different from a standard long-distance move. Since you can’t drive a rental truck over the water, you need a moving company that can handle the shipment for you. U-Pack® specializes in long-distance moving, and with a local service center in San Juan, we’re familiar with the unique experiences presented with a move to the Island of Enchantment.

Moving from Puerto Rico — How It Works
U-Pack specializes in easy, dependable moving. Compared to other Puerto Rico moving companies, U-Pack is fast and affordable. We bring a moving trailer or ReloCube shipping container to your home, and you load your belongings inside. If we don’t service your location directly, you can load at the San Juan service center.
Your belongings are then shipped to the United States and will travel by truck to the service center nearest your new home. We deliver to your door, and you unload. U-Pack transit times average 11-18 business days for shipments out of Puerto Rico, so it’s much faster than traditional Puerto Rico movers who can take several weeks or months.

Looking for a Moving Company to Puerto Rico?
A U-Pack move to Puerto Rico works similarly. We bring the equipment to your home, and you load. The shipment travels by truck to the nearest service center that ships to Puerto Rico (Philadelphia, Jacksonville or South Chicago). From there, the shipment sails to Puerto Rico. You clear your items at the tax office, and then we deliver to your new home (or unload at the service center). Your shipment will arrive in just 7-11 days.
If you’re moving from the U.S. mainland to Puerto Rico (and you’re a U.S. Citizen), you don’t need a passport because Puerto Rico is a U.S. territory. However, a government-issued ID, like a driver’s license or birth certificate, is required for entry. Another benefit of moving to Puerto Rico is that customs fees do not apply. However, household goods are subject to an excise tax.
