Know What To Look For
Some regions of the country are under quarantine for invasive species like the spongy moth and spotted lanternfly.
These insects can lay eggs on outdoor items like lawn furniture, bikes, playsets and grills. When these things are moved, the pests can spread to new regions and damage trees and plants. To help stop the spread, outdoor belongings must be inspected and cleaned of insects and egg masses as required by the USDA and state agencies.
